But it is also a “trip” into different human lives. And it is also a thought about the casualty of life, and about how small, insignificant, apparently danger-less things can become the real cause that ends everything. Aspettando il Sole is also a metaphor about what is important in life, for real, and how we all depend from something usually we don’t care about. Six stories, six rooms, two hours, one hotel, fifteen people are the ingredients of Aspettando il Sole, which is a mix of small stories, that, like in a huge crossword game, gain strength and meaning by being “played” all in the meantime. Each single story is independent, but in the meantime “belongs” to the whole; each story has a meaning “because” of all the others. And the dialogues are like floating and echoing through the walls, so that we could have an “independent” reading of each story, or a more complete reading of the whole thing as if it is “just” one big story. Each single story has a 360° revolving, nothing is as it looks like, no one is as it seems. To increase this aspect of the film all the very famous actors we have “play” an unexpected role. So, for example, Vanessa Incontrada (usually sweet and girlish) plays the porn star, Raoul Bova (usually the good hero) plays a hard and depressed man.
