Mama Superfreak / Netherlands (Directed by Bea de Visser) 13 mins - 2009 - In one long shot this adaptation of La Mamma Fricchettona, a monologue by Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo, shows Viviane De Muynck in a humorous elucidation of a womans odyssey from doting motherhood to a state of independence whilst addressing an invisible and anonymous man. Visual artist and filmmaker Bea de Visser balances in this film on the edge of the cinematographic picture and the visual art, that provides the film its own special realism. - Regional Premiere

La Ausencia (The Absence) / Chile/Chile, UK (Directed by Ricardo Greene) 11 mins - 2008 - Set to unravel the central yet invisible place of female domestic workers in Chilean culture, 'La Ausencia' departs on a journey through time and space, exploring the production and reproduction of family memories through photo albums and the uses of space.

A camera privately spies on them. An executioner is who observes the scene. Maybe there are several executioners, or perhaps none. It could be that nothing of this is happening. They are beginning to suspect that. A circle between manipulation and representation. - Regional Premiere
